You did it to me.

From Sacred Scripture:  Matthew 25:34-40

Then the King will say to those at his right hand, "Come, O blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me." Then the righteous will answer him, "Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink?  And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you?  And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?  And the King will answer them, "Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me."

VIRTUS in the Diocese of Bridgeport

All volunteers serving in the Diocese of Bridgeport - that have not yet been trained - are required to attend a VIRTUS training program and clear a criminal background check. These safeguards are required for all volunteers, even those who DO NOT have scheduled contact with children. It is everyone’s responsibility to help keep the children and our parish safe.  Included in these requirements are Lectors, Eucharistic Ministers, Ushers, members of the Choir, Religious Education Teachers, and volunteers at all various Parish Events.   Everyone plays a role in protecting the children in our parish.

All volunteers need to attend so that together we can all “Protect God’s Children”.  Materials will be provided.  Please, if you have not yet attended a VIRTUS course,  please sign up by visiting www.Virtusonline.com to pre-register.  Select FIRST TIME REGISTRANT, BEGIN REGISTRATION and be sure to select BRIDGEPORT DIOCESE as your organization. Attendance is limited to 30 attendees for the session at St Luke's, so be sure to sign up early.

Should you have any questions, please reach out to Missey directly at (203) 984-1061.

Thank you for your willingness to help us Protect God’s Children.
