Ash Wednesday 5:30pm Prayer Service

About the Event
Please note: due to the current COVID situation, we are not permitted to distribute ashes in any way that involves direct person-to-person contact. Of the options that Rome permits, we feel it best to use a one-per-person cotton swab ("Q-Tip") to place ashes on your foreheads in a way that you can actually feel the cross being traced.
Please do not ask to take ashes home with you for others; it will not be possible this year, since the ashes will be mixed with the holy Oil of the Sick to make the cotton swab method possible.
Please remember that we take up a special collection on Ash Wednesday for the sake of our Matthew 25 Fund for the hungry and the poor. Matthew 25 proceeds help to feed the hungry year-round through the faithful efforts of our Soup Kitchen Ministry Teams; the monies also allow us to assist people who come to us in times of financial crisis. This collection represents your first act of almsgiving for this holy season; please be as generous as you can.
